Doug's new purchase...
« on: September 07, 2015, 06:56:03 PM »
Not long into our recent Idaho trip, I realized the immediate need I had for me to grow up and get a automotive powered actual sand car... The day before Scott left, he mentioned that I could just buy his... Well long story short, price was right. After a 3000 mile round trip this weekend, it is now at its new home. I knew I was getting a good car when Scott started having second thoughts. This thing is going to have extensive surgery over the next couple years. I will ultimately keep the car just as it is with a lot of "spit and polish" added. For now I will just enjoy it only adding a couple replacement parts that are a little wore. Besides.. I have a turbo busa single seat I need to finish first!

Make sure and add the wrist restraints if it does not have them.  They are only about $15 each.  I just added them to the outside arm only.

Everyone is invited - of course.  Fast started a thread about the trip a few weeks ago but the dates kept rolling around.  Myself, Fast and Mike have a spot at Cowboy.  I have not talked to Fast about his status due to the broke truck?

Congrats on the ride Doug, it looks like a rocket ship.  Can't wait to see it transformed to your standards!

Fast is still trying to make it.  I will leave tonight with a co-driver, my wife if her dad's health has not worsened or with sandsavior (Jerry) for Boise Idaho to pick up my new to me 3500 Dodge to replace the silver 07 that I burned up on the way to ST Ann.

I will deal with what I will do to replace or fix the Scion when I get back.  What Scion you ask? This one.  The one I totaled out coming to work the day before yesterday.   drowning Sarcasm
